Do you NOT realize that you just labeled everyone who does not have a 4.0 or close to as dumb and stupid?
just stop. you are embarrassing yourself. He didn't label that. Statistics aside, the OP has a 2.0-2.5 gpa currently and made the comment that he can get a 4.0 easy by taking an easy major. People generally don't go from average C student to stellar A student. It is possible, but common sense shows it isn't likely. Moreover people don't generally jump in MCAT score by 20 points. Again, it is possible, but it isn't likely.
Also it is generally accepted that the Caribbean sucks and to not go that route because many people end there with no degree and $200k bill. And Canadian applicants applying to MD school in the states are expected to be stellar. If he were to take classes for the next 10 years all at a 4.0 gpa, he may be able to reach a competitive range, but that is both ridiculous and unwise.
People that aren't close to a 4.0 aren't stupid, but that doesn't mean they can all be doctors. The OP can do whatever he wants and if he truly wants to be a doctor, no one can stop him. At least if he moves forward he is aware that it isn't going to be anytime within the next 10 years. This is realistic.
You are just arguing now to save face, but throwing around random stuff. Forget statistics. Let's use common sense.
