Worst/Funniest Interview Experiences

I said invisibility which made me sound like an antisocial sneak. That was for a job interview.
In a med school interview I said I would choose to have the power of time manipulation, which made me sound like I have a god complex lol. Hate that question.
Surprised no one says like "ability to heal any wound" or something like that. Sounds totally doctorish, but maybe too much of an obvious attempt to pander?

I guess for med school interviews you could say you want the power to heal people by touching them. kind of like jesus
There are no wrong answers to this one, and any answer will be a good one except "I don't know".

That's my real answer. I think about it all the time. If I could have any super power, it would 100% be teleportation. I could see my family and friends on the other side of the country whenever I want. I could visit my bff in London. I could travel all over the damn world. It would be totally amazing. You'd never get stuck in traffic, you'd never get DVT from being on a 10 hour flight... the benefits are endless.
Also, I'd love to be able to talk to animals.
Totally cliche but I'd pick ability to fly. Just for the experience, to know what it feels like. Probably makes me sound a bit like a thrill seeker, and there's a grain (just a grain) of truth to that.
Lazy and cheap. Any answer to this question can make you look bad!! Terrible question.

well, anything can be spun to make it bad. But I'm fine with lazy and cheap. Hell, call me what you want, if that's what it takes to get the superpower of teleportation (but oh boy I can see myself ducking out of a few mandatory mtgs with that one, strolling along the Seine, and then reappearing just in time for Q&A)!

Are elemental powers a bad answer? For instance, i want to have the ability to shoot lightning out of my hands or turn my environment into magma. If i spin my answers to be a positive thing (like thawing someone frozen in permafrost), will interviewers appreciate it? Or will they think i'm a sociopath?

I just had this experience at an open file interview:
Interviewer: So tell me something about you that would surprise people.
Me: ...um... well I can play the violin
Interviewer: So you don't think the fact that you grew up in the middle east and were relocated due to terrorism would surprise people.
Me: Oh. Yeah I guess that too.

Ok, but thawing permafrost man still doesn't bring him back to life... It's super nerdy and quirky, a little childish, but we can all dream a little if the rest of the package screams "adult".

I thought about the "healing hands" thing for super powers but there's the problem that if you could 100% heal anyone with a touch then who do you heal first? Who do you let die? You can't be every where at once and even if you could would you be interfering with natural processes? I remember there was some kind of skit where a family had their ancestry full of horrific accidental deaths since normal modes of disease and aging don't apply to them. Also what would the world do after you die? Perhaps I'm looking too deep into this...
I think my choice would be to make sleep optional since it already feels like I'm wasting my time sitting in bed staring at the ceiling for an hour or two until i fall asleep and waking up exhausted.

Thinking deeply about this is probably something that adcoms would eat up.
Another good one, I think, would be to be able to speak every single language fluently.

Wait, I suppose that depends on the format of your telepathy...do you only pick up what people internally verbalize, or do you get the actual impressions/emotions from their brain?

Once I would have said flying. Presently, I would rather be able to manipulate time so that I have enough hours in the day for adequate study and sleep (and SDN... can't forget what's most important!)
Or else to have perfect recall of everything that I read. Which I actually used to have before I started reading the spray out of this fire hose.
Again, depends on the mechanism and how much control you have. Used tactfully and in moderation, it could essentially be a built-in translation skill, experience-sharing tool (check out my mental images of Yosemite...you wouldn't believe the view if you couldn't pull the image from my brain!) and a great fall-back for those "no, you're not understanding me...gah, I can't seem to communicate this to you!" moments.
That being said, still flying. Always flying.
You should fly planes! Ok it's not as awesome as superman flying, but the super light-weights are pretty fun!
I want to, but for now I like my wallet more.
There is a flight school near my house that lets you do acrobatics though!
I'd prefer to avoid anything with propellers or made by McDonnell Douglas

Aerobatics is awesome (but scary-yeah I said it). Wallet... Yeah... Mines been skinny for quite some time...
