Im also just in F1 visa..... all this f...k visa issue is killing me!!! im desperate... waiver, 2 years of home stay requierement, H1 visa that no one will sponsor you, the stigma of being an IMG, im tired of all this sh....

If your only motivation is financial, it's not worth it. Few doctors are earning $800 a day (if your figure is correct).

$800/day comes out to about $192,000/year. I definitely consider that to be a respectable amount of money. I have IMG relatives who make less than that here in the States. So if your motivation truly is financial, like the previous poster stated, then the answer to your question is a definite "NO." It is not worth it. You've got family, friends. So why change anything?

I agree. If you consider having everything you need back in Chile, there's no need for you to come. You could only come to the US for a fellowship, in case you have already done a specialty training. Regarding the flight tickets, I wouldn't worry about it if I make 800 dollars a day.
