Well, I have a choice of 3 review courses:

1. Kaplan (literally right down the street)

2. Princeton Review (40 minute drive, with LA traffic, maybe 1 hour)

3. Berkely Review (40 minutes - 1 hour)

Money and drive time are not an issue here, but the better course is the issue. If they're all the same, I'd rather go to Kaplan down the street.

What would you do if you were in my shoes?

I've done the search and read very different opinions. I am not a student who does good at home. I need to be at a studying setting to study, not in bed on my laptop with books lying next to me.

Please let me know your thoughts and thank you in advance.

take kaplan, no course is worth the loss of 1.5hrs/day for just commute.

I've compared Kaplan's prep materials to Berkeley Review's materials and in my opinion the Berkeley Review materials were far superior.

I purchased both the Kaplan MCAT Comprehensive Review and Berkeley Review's complete 10 book home study course so I've had ample opportunity to compare the two sets of materials.

I think both courses will review the material you need to know for the MCAT. The difference, from what I've seen, is that the Princeton Review seems to emphasize test-taking strategies more. I found that helpful personally, but I don't think it's enough to justify the additional commute in your case. Take the Kaplan course, study, and you should be fine. Good luck.
