Unfortunately, I couldn't secure an II by turkey day this year 🙁. At this point in the cycle, the only thing I can do is to update the schools, but I'm not sure if this is a substantial update.
Been working as an RA and managed to collect enough data for an abstract that was accepted in the summer of this year. The lab submitted another abstract and it was recently accepted based on the same data, BUT it is for another event with a different title, citation, and some of the written content was changed. I am still a co-author and this time, I will be presenting it in February.
This month, I will also be shadowing an MD in a psychiatric ER as well. Not sure how much this would help, but at least I'm doing something clinically as an extracurricular.
I was always advised not to inform schools of experiences that have yet to be completed. I figured the abstract was accepted and I might as well throw in the presenting fact since updating in February is close to useless. I should be able to have this update by early to mid January. Thoughts?
