If you had Einstien for physics and he wrote you a favorable letter of recomendation, do you think it would get you into med school (MD) if you had say a 26 MCAT 3.3 GPA overall and in the sciences and you weren't a URM. How much clout do the letters hold? The guy is a genius...

Not only would you get into med school they'd create a new physics award named after you.

Only into AECOM

i knew a professor with letters of rec from noam chomsky and howard zinn in his file. he got in.

Well first you would probably get some type of recognition for your work on bringing the dead back to life. That alone would probably get you into medical school, why even bother with the LOR.

that's like asking "would a letter from Bush get you into medschool"?

How could you compare a letter from Einstein to a letter from Bush?

That would be like comparing apples to nat flies.

it's more like if stephen hawkins wrote you a LOR.

I still think U of C would send me a rejection letter.
