This is purely a hypothetical question.
What would be the best treatment of a small (very small imo) avulsion fracture at the extensor tendon insertion onto the base of the middle phalanx of the fourth digit.

Keep it straight and immobilized? Keep it mobile? I don't think surgery would be a possibility? I assume such a small avulsion would heal itself?
