I am a junior and have transferred 3 times (one was a satellite campus). I was a non-degree seeking student at the satellite campus because my main university didn't have the classes my degree required so my advisor recommended I take it at that campus and transfer it over.

I have recently been talking to a faculty member of a small private liberal arts college in my state (Depauw) and she was recommending that I transfer over. She said it would be a better environment for me and create more opportunities. Plus, it's an easy enough drive for me to come home and check on my mom if needed.

Do you think it would be stupid of me to transfer? I'm already kinda behind but this might make me even more so. I'm not sure if the benefits outweigh that. What do you think?

Thanks in advance!

If you're asking if the transfers will kill you during your application I wouldn't be worried about it. I attended 4 colleges and was accepted to 2 dental schools. If you're asking if it will be stupid for the sake of losing time it really depends. Do you think your GPA will be a lot higher? How much time will it set you back? I only lost about 1 semesters worth of time with all my transferring but that's because I did the research on what classes transferred. Overall if you think that transferring will greatly increase your GPA I would do it. Only one school asked why I transferred at my interview but giving my honest reasons more than satisfied the interviewer. Good Luck
