Hello everyone.

These are 10 schools with my reasons.

Tuft: expensive, but accepts a lot of OS students. Close to Canada
Temple: another private that accept good number of canadians
Case: same reason as above
Maryland: relatively cheap tuition but I love the state
Pitts: again, good tuition, okay number of OS students
Nova: okay tuition, in Floria. Nuff said
Buffalo: very cheap tuition, and very close to canada
Penn: only heard good things about this school
Columbia: Another Ivy. Okay tuition and number of OS student.
-my girl friend got accepted to columbia med...so lol I am being biased.
Boston: very expensive, but excellent number of OS students. Also close to canada.

I have 10 schools on my list right now but I need to cut it down to 6 schools. Obviously, application, sec app, and interview money are the problems.

I can a Canadian citizen, with 3.68 cGPA and 3.70 sGPA. Canadian DAT scores are: 23 TA, 22AA, 22 PAT and 8 carving (lol? but who cares.. hopefully?)

I will be applying to buffalo, pitts and maryland for sure. But cannot pick the other 3 schools.

Any good or bad stuff you heard about any of the above schools?
Basically, I am looking for school that I can attend with minimal tuition/living expenses but the quality of school is important as well. I come from a pretty ghetto area in Canada so city itself is no problem.

Future dentists.... help out this predent noob : )

I was going to go to Penn...but elected for the University of Kentucky instead...no regrets. Keep Penn on there..

Take off Nova...I haven't met many good dentists from there..

Maryland is a good school...

I would take off Temple...just my personal choice as well..

Idk what you consider min tuition and living, but just off of the top of my head Nova, Tufts, and Columbia are very expensive.

You have high stats, your best bet is to just apply to ALL of them and take it from there.

This is the best statement

You are an international applicant, who knows what will happen, how the interviews will go. It's cheaper to apply to more schools than wait a year. Honestly, apply to all the Canadian friendly schools....

I agree with DrReo, Apply to as many schools as you can. Its not easy for a canadian to gain admission into the US. make sure to apply to canadian friendly schools like NYU, case, Boston, Detroit mercy, and other private schools. From your list I know for sure that Boston and case are good with canadians.

seems like you have a lot of "safety" (omg dont flame me) schools there. With your stats, you should be reaching for a couple of schools. I would knock off a couple easier schools b/c they might see your stats and see youre a bit overqualified. Apply to some upper-tier places and who knows, maybe youll be surprised
