if im currently living in an oncampus apartment, or even offcampus apartment, for my undergrad, will this qualify me for instate tuition if i apply to dental school in the same state, or do i need to own a house

I believe you have to get your permanent address changed to that state, and live there for a certain amount of months/years. Even at that, I think you would have to contact the certain dental school about it because I think there are some that will count you as in-state and some that won't...it depends.
 
i think if you have your driver's license and residence in that state for more than one year, you should be ok. but then again, i'd check with the school.

ive lived here for 20 years lol, but my parents have recently moved and im currently living in an apartment offcampus for undergrad, and ive had a drivers license here for 4 years

I know that a lot of state school systems will automatically grant in state status to people who graduated from an in state high school. I don't know if this works for you, but you might want to look into it.
