Would using a DO letter for a doc I scribed for in the ED be fine for my application for MD schools?

Absolutely. If he's working he's just as competent as any M.D. working beside him and the medical school will know that.

Tried looking for other threads for this but most were about DO shadowing, but I have actually scribed for him in the ED for a decent amount of time, so I have actually worked with him as opposed to just shadowed. Would it be completely fine to use a DO letter for MD schools?

I know in the medical field, doctors really don't care about the letters after someone's name, but I just wanted to make sure it was fine.

I was under the impression that letters from doctors were not necessary for MD schools, regardless of whether the doc was an MD or DO?
