Would you like to shadow and round with a wound care doctor, and potentially scribe?
Dr. Godfrey, in the medical practice of Dr. Kuo, in Freeport, Nassau County desperately needs the help of pre-meds to help with his rounds in a nursing home. He needs students ASAP to help with rounds on Tuesdays from 7am to 12pm. Volunteers will be exposed to a wide variety of wounds afflicting patients and will learn about wound etiologies and treatments including wound stages, locations, necessary approaches and dressings. This is a great opportunity for pre-health students (aspiring doctors, nurses, physician assistants) to learn about bedside manner by working directly with patients in a clinical setting.
