Wow...I thought I would share.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Really, this just shows the bias against people that aren't the status quo definition of beautiful. Why is it such a shock that that Potts dude could sing opera or that a frizzy-headed old maid from BFE England can't sing? But if they looked like models, it wouldn't be a shock.

It's a rather bizarre assumption that people make.

lol, that british chick was getting an orgasm listening... this is the reaction I get when I am counseling in retail and the customer realizes that pharmacists actually know disease states 🙂

Never heard of Susan Boyle before, but...WOW.

The sad thing is that, like Mike said, I wasn't expecting her to be any good either. It shouldn't be a shock that she can sing so beautifully, but it is, because society (myself included) is so shallow. But I am glad she and Paul Potts shattered my expectations. It makes me feel there's still hope for an average joe like me.

Bingo. It was something special back then...because not just anybody could join...it was a place for only college kids to be uninhibited. Now your damned parents are on the thing...

there's some truth to that.

myspace used to be fun, but I preferred it when I was single.

facebook comes and goes on the awesomeness.

That is funny! Thats why I signed up....my parents are on facebook. It is easier to dowload pictures of the kids and post them on facebook rather than e-mailing them to everyone.

It is definatly not a cool hip place for kids any more. I have reconnected with some of my old Army buddies and high school friends so that is cool.

You were in the Army???

Facebook was definitely nicer before it became so commercialized. The constant bombardment of ads and applications can be a bit unnerving, especially if all I want to do is get in contact with one of my classmates.

...then again, I was pretty much addicted to the Tetris and Bowling apps when they came out. 😵

Facebook is the best way to know what is going on with people, without actually having to talk to them. In all honestly I only talk to a handful of people that are my "friends" on a regular basis.

I thought I did.....

I took some pictures of the kid with his new fishing pole today. I will have to go and update my pics.

By the way....if my wife ever sees you as one of my facebook friends, I am dead where I stand!

I didn't see any; I'll have to check again.

Awww...I still remember when my dad bought me my first fishing pole. Fishing with Daddy...that's the best.

Hah! Why would you be dead???

You sort of ruin the image of pharmacists. We are nerdy, introverted, stange, kind of antisocial people. I mean you have to be a little off to stand behind a counter and count pills all day. You sort of mess up the whole image. I will let you partially slide because you are a nuke phamacists. If you worked retail we would have a serious probelm.
