Wreb exam restorative portion

Hi Drs.
I am planning to take restorative part of wreb exam on manikin
I heard that the teeth are very fragile and easy to fracture
Some friends told me not to use hand instrument when i try to break the contact

Any advice please, and what are the tips of passing the exam
