Write about new gap year job in secondary?

I just started in June in my new clinical position. Should I consider using some patient encounters I have had in my secondary essays?

Imo, I think there are a few ways you could approach this. You could talk about it in any “anything else” secondary prompts, you could bring it up when you interview, or you could send an update letter to schools once you’ve had a couple months of experience there.

If it answers a question (time you helped others, a challenging situation, etc) then of course! it's still your experience. If you're worried about it not being on your primary you can always add a sentence before the relevant essay explaining when you started.

If you use it for a 'why medicine' or similar prompt, the recency may seem suspicious ...
