do you guys think its ok/good idea to write out the main physics/gchem formulas on scrap paper before starting PS, like either during the tutorial, or before you start the test? it helps me when i can look down at formulas, instead of being worried i will mix them up/confuse variables

I don't think you should still be struggling with that by the time you take the MCAT. It should be very easy to remember if the force on a charge is E=kqq/r^2 or E=hv.

There was a kid on here that said he memorized the sheet of equations and would write it down from memory during the tutorial before you start. I thought it was a good plan and am thinking of doing it. So since you have that tutorial time you might as well use it rather than skip it.

I was thinking about doing that to. Do you think it would get you in trouble though?

I asked that exact question before I took the MCAT, and a friend told me he did it with no problem, but also that he knew someone that tried it and had his scratch paper taken up and was given new scratch paper.

Of course, I agree that by test day you know the formulas so well that you're just writing them down for comfort rather than necessity.

ya i think id do it during the tutorial...just for comfort sake. does anyone know if this would make problems? anyone else have experience with this? thx

I was thinking of doing it as well. i always do it on physics or chem tests just so when you're in the middle of a problem you don't risk blanking on the formula. It's definitely a comfort thing. I don't understand why you would get in trouble for doing it on the MCAT.. you're not copying off of a formula sheet...you're writing down formulas YOU memorized..

I'd just right down the big ones. Like kinematic equations, and the more random ones like the deltaG equations.
