Hey, does anyone know how the conversion works? Like what raw score corresponds to each letter?

is it like a 4 = O or P approximately?

I can't seem to find a conversion table anywhere, except for the one on the AAMC website which doesn't really answer this question.

Your letter score corresponds to the sum of the raw scores for your essays. Two readers mark one essay and another two mark the second essay. Each marker assigns a score (from 1 to 6) and the higher of the two values is used. So if your first essay receives a 4 and 5, and your second gets 3 and 4, then the 5 from the first and the 4 from the second are used in converting to letter score. 5 + 4 = 9 which is your raw score.

Raw Score..............Scaled Score
2..................................J
3..................................K
4..................................L
5..................................M
6..................................N
7..................................O
8..................................P
9..................................Q
10.................................R
11.................................S
12.................................T

Hope that answers your question.

I don't think they just take the top two scores for each essay. I thought they summed up all four scores from the four markers.

Is there an actual link where I can view this chart?

Thanks.
