Does anyone know how to sign up for the written exam? I have done the initial Primary certification step on the ABA website and paid the $550 fee. It now says my status is "validate" and am permitted to sit for the exam. It states "NOTE: A $400.00 Part 1 (written) examination fee is due when candidates accept an anesthesiology certification examination opportunity." No where on the website can I figure out how to sign up for the exam. This is all too confusing. Thank you.

You don't need to do anything else now. As long as your status i svalidate you are good to go. You pay the four hundred dollar fee in Feb. sometime.

The last ABA newsletter states that they will contact you with testing options and if you accept then you pay the next fee. I assume they haven't worked out all the details so you cannot complete the transaction as of yet.
