AMCAS has put my two organic chemistry courses (both with labs) as 3 semester hours each. Is that correct? Most school require 8 semester hours. What should I do?
Well what does your college transcript say? Does it list your courses as 3 credits each? That's kinda wierd though.... most orgo+lab classes are at least 4 credits. You might want to call the med schools and ask them how strict they are with the course hours requirement.
I'm a Canadian student. Our school year runs from September to December for first term, January to April second term. Spring/Summer terms are not considered regular school years and are not used in GPA calcuations in Canada.
Full credit courses are counted as 1.0 credits. 8 semester hours are 1.0 credits. Both of my organic chem courses are 0.5 credits. They should be counted as 4 semester hours.

AMCAS might fix it. Call them. If they won't, send a brief letter to the schools to which you applied explaining the situation.
I had a similar situation, and that was the advice from my pre-med advisor, who had spoken with admissions at my undergrad's med school. None of my schools really cared, and one of my interviewers even made a joke about the idiots at AMCAS--so adcoms know they don't get everything right.
