March 22nd was the date I was told for the next meeting. After that, interviewees can expect to hear something around the 2nd-3rd week of April.
 
I am really hoping that we see status page changes on Fri. This is how it happened in December, with the commitee meeting on Thurs and the status being updated on Fri. In Feb they weren't updated until Monday but I don't know if my stomach could handle the extra few days. Please helps us out UIC!

Ditto.. I think I've checked my status everyday since my interview (even though I am fully aware no decisions will be made till after the adcom meets tomorrow lol).. Suspense sucks!
 
How long does it take to actually find out your decision through mail? I don't think you can check it on the website or even call in to ask them can you?

After the webpage indicated that a decision was reached, it took about three days for my acceptance to reach San Francisco.

the "decision" until MAY will most like be acceptance.. they said at my interview no one is being rejected until then.. so you are either accepted (your decision changes on UIC status page) or you're placed in the alternative pile which will get rereviewed in May when rejections, waitlists, and more acceptances will get handed out

really nervous about the decision
so if my status page on the website doesn't change, should i automatically assume that i'm put on the alternate list? will they not send me a mail saying that i'm on the alternate list?
 
I don't think it's necessarily alternative list.. it just is a rereview in May and then in May they decide where you fall.. (if that makes sense) whether it's reject, accept, or alternative

mine took 5 days in the mail, and i'm on the east coast.

i'm extremely nervous coz i've been waitlisted/put on the alternate list everywhere...and it sux waiting some more after already waiting so long.
 
Anyone know if UIC (or UC, Peoria, Rockford, whatever) is done offering interviews?
 
omg i keep checking my status page for no reason really 😛 , although decisions are probably made by now...hey tdd, do u know if anyone had a status page change as soon as the next day?
 
I know in Dec. people heard the next day, the last couple months have been on Mon though. Either way I am gonna be checking all weekend too prob.

yes🙁 still decision pending. Let's hope they're changing it on Monday and that this means absolutely nothing!!

PS: Anyone ever send TWO LOIs? I sent mine now almost three months ago, and I'm thinking it's time for a refresher. Hey, look at me over here in the corner eagerly awaiting to hear from you UIC! I love you! I'm not a stalker! Honest! Riiiiiight.

Still nothing, this is what I get for thinking I understood how things operated.
 
I dont understand how I havent interviewed there yet as an in state resident with a 3.8 and 32R. Application was submitted late october and everything registered as complete in early nov. I thought state schools were supposed to take care of the state residents. Guess UIC doesnt though.

Wow. I thought I was getting the shaft, and you have better stats than me. I was even told by a premed committee adviser that I would definitely get an interview...

Oh well.
 
Checked....is no news good news? Bc mine still says decision pending. Seriously- I'm not happy about this.
 
from previous posts it seems like people heard at different times the following monday, i'm assuming they do it individually, so maybe check in the next few hours? i hope you hear good news BeanerMD (and me too!)

"A final decision was made on your application on 03-26-07. Please allow two-weeks to receive the correspondence in the mail. If you do not receive this correspondence in two-weeks, please contact the Admissions Office. No decision will be given over the telephone."

Umm, if this is POST-interview, you are certainly wrong here.

I have yet to see a case where the "decision has been made" change was a rejection. They keep everyone in the pool after the interview, and those who get the status change have acceptances on the way. Mate.
 
hey will you guys update when you receive your correspondence? i'm in so cal so i'll be going nuts for the next few days...hope we all hear something good
 
word. i was gonna change my post to ask if it was pre or post interview, but i got beat to the punch. check mate
 
Got a status change, but just from "applicant in process" to "application in process." I'm completely not anticipating an interview at this point, but I don't understand why they bother to make that change and not just reject me for goodness sake! Did anyone ever figure out what on earth that change means? Ugh.
 
Looks like I'm on board for UIC. See you all in Urbana-Champaign next semester 🙂
 
So... the a final decision has been made message is a good thing? We can be a little less stressed out?
Also, chicago is full... right? Does anyone have an opinion on Rockford? I interviewed at peoria, but i'm wondering about some insight into the rockford site.
 
reading through some old posts, it seems that some people who received the "final decision" post-interview got accepted to the post-bac program instead of the MD program. i don't even remember anything about a post-bac on the application, and this would be disappointing, anyone have any insight on this?
