so i dont know how to do this at all
i know half life rxns are 1st order
but what is .693

and how are we supposed to do .693/1.5
or even .7/1.5

lol I doubt those kind of calc will be on dat. You can always put in scientific notation and kind of round tho
 
0.693 is ln(2). Result of solving constant k from 1/2 = e^-kt for half life.

As far as dividing decimals, just multiply 10^x to both the numerator and denominator; x being the number of tens to get rid the decimal. For instance, 0.693/1.5 = 693/1500. Then divide and maybe estimate when you know the first two numbers for the answer.

And for this question, you know the answer got to be A because 693/1500 won't even get you numbers smaller than 10^-2.
