W00t!

Hey, how are people doing with arranging housing? I've not had an easy time getting people to return my emails.

I want to spend a weekend looking at apartments, rather than sending a check sight unseen. Is anyone else doing anything like this? I hate to travel all the way from Boston to do this, but I think I should.

I just got back from WV and peeped out some spots. I tried to line up a list of 5-6 people before I went down there and called them to make a showing appt. It was mad hard trying to get a hold of some of them, none-the-less to even get them to return my phone calls. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll tell you if I saw something that matched up to that...msg me at [email protected]. cheers.

have 2 bedroom house avail one mile from school avail in mid july 304-667-9026 for details:)

I just started the whole housing browsing thing, Im from PA too, Pittsburgh to be specific, I have a small dog (part pomeranian part cocker spaniel), and am looking to live in a house with some other people girls or guys doesnt matter. Oh and also how do you get access to the housing registry? I tried the ID # and password and that didnt work.

I was just browsing through this Blog and noticed your post...I have a part pomeranian, part cavalier king charles spaniel! They're so rare when I noticed your "cockapom" I couldn't help but message you! I just got my "alternate list" letter today. So, if not this August, next August I will be down at WVSOM :) Are you getting excited to start school? Did you find a place to live? And are you a Steelers fan??? I am DIE-HARD. Whole family's from WV and PA.

Haha yea he is quite the rare dog indeed, but thats awesome that you have one, and if you end up coming to WVSOM im sure the two pups will meet, and yes im a huge steelers fan and apparently we are well represented in lewisburg. Good luck, you might get a shot at being down there this august!!

Hey guys! I got accepted back in January. I guess I have been a little lazy at creating a SDN account. Although I have been fairly active in the Facebook group.

I can't wait to meet everyone here in a few months. I hope you have found a place to live. I got pretty lucky and found a fairly nice townhouse that is about 1.5 miles from school.

Also, I hope there are going to be some students with an interest in the outdoors. Lewisburg is within an hour's drive to some of the best fishing, hiking, biking, and skiing that WV has to offer. Be sure to get a hold of me if you are interested in venturing out. I know some pretty good spots to go for the day to "study".

Hey everybody!

I interviewed back in early January, was accepted, and am just now getting around to checking my WVSOM email and joining SDN and FB groups. Oh, and finishing financial aid. Now on to finding a place to reside...

Here's a little bit about me... and this is going to get redundant and old...

I'm originally from Chesapeake/VA Beach, VA, and have been living in Oklahoma for the better part of 10 years (I don't think I'm EVER going to claim OK as home). I've lived & worked in Nags Head/Manteo, NC for about 2 years. Also went to grad school in Cleveland, OH (where my family is originally from) for the last 2 years.

While in OK, I have a job at an NMM/OMM specialist's office. I started out as the office assistant/manager but then went away to grad school so now I work on special projects and constant updates to SOAP forms (just ask me about my opinion of Medicare).

I'm married with a 3.5 month old boy. He's AWESOME (and so is my wife:)).

I love scuba diving. It's one of my stress reliefs. Oh, and I'm a divemaster (should you care). If anyone else is interested, I know that Divers Alert Network (in Durham, NC) has a course/cert for medical professionals - something we may want to look into. I also have played baseball all my life (including 1 year NCAA D1). Love it. Others I enjoy: rock climing, ultimate, basketball. Ask me - I might be up for it.

Anything else? Just ask...

I honestly don't recall. I think if you shoot for one typed page, though, you should be fine.

yea im living in westridge townhomes, they are really nice its just that the pet deposit is unreal $850 non refundable for however long you want to stay there, but thats for as many pets as you want. other than that the school has a housing directory and there are a lot of places that allow pets. Good luck!!!
