The first interview for this year is in Monday. No interviews have happened yet. I will post my thoughts on Tuesday. Good luck on your interviews.

Mine was pretty relaxed and I believe yours will be too. I might see you Monday as I am taking some of the applicants to lunch on Monday 😀 Process takes about 5 hours total.

Is anyone else have the group interview or is it only me. Also, what is the difference between this and the regular interview process. Does anyone know?

i got group interview notice today via e-mail for OCT. 25 Don't know the difference, but I will probably e-mail them asking what the difference is. Does anybody already know?

I believe the group interview is the less formale interview for people who will probably get accepted. It's just a formality it seems.

thanks for the replies. i e-mailed them today, so i will let you know whenever I get a response.

they e-mailed back and said what we already know. 1.)received interview because above 3.5 science GPA and 24-27 MCAT 2) interview should be informal.

They only sent me an email telling me to check my status. When I logged in, there was nothing there. I know they only ask for a secondary if they want to interview you. Does that mean they are not interested in me right now?
Is that how you checked your status...through the ID and Pin # on the web?

Hi All:
Is anyone else unable to access the WVSOM "Application Status" once the UserID and password are imputted? The system just reverts me back to the original status page. Also, I can no longer access the "Applicant Checklist." Anyone wlse having this problem, or is it just me? I was just notified by Angela that I have an interview and that the 2ndary if within this link, which I cannot access. I will contact her if nobody else has the prob...it may be my comp, you never know.

Thanks.

Ryan.

I haven't had any trouble logging in.

I just had my WVSOM interview yesterday. The group interview is a group of ~8 applicants being interviewed by 2 faculty members. We also each had a one-on-one interview which were conducted at individual tables in a conference room.

Everything was extremely laidback. There were no stressful questions. They just asked the typical questions: Why DO? Why West Virginia? Do you have any questions about the school or PBL? What are your hobbies?

I got a few questions about why I didn't go pre-med right out of high school and what led me into med school. We were told several times that the purpose of the day was only to gauge our personalities, not to decide if we'd be good doctors or students.

They decided who to accept/reject before we even left the school. The results we updated to the web last night for those who had complete applications and official letters are to be mailed out today.

For theperson having problem logging in:
I had problem as well whenver I would input my ID and password IF i hit enter after inputting this infor. To get it to work I had to input the info and then use the mouse to click log-in, or whatever the button says. hope it helps.
