sim labs are little more than flashy toys to woo interviewees. Their actual utility as far as your education is very limited.

Only an issue if you plan on interacting with him. Or if you are not completely sure you'll be okay seeing him now and then. You don't want to be flunking tests left and right every time you see his face.
