My grumpiness is because FFM actually was talking to me and knows all this stuff about me now. So killing him is perfect timing for tgis **** since he could back up everything I said.

Thankfully someone else has his same role.

I'm not though. If I were chaos id be more active and having more fun. Instead I'm stuck with two people who seem overpowered in our group (and I have a pretty overpowered revival role myself) who I was suspicious were third party. Thus why I asked the 8 ball what I did.

He said he "comes back". I presume there's a protector role out there, so I don't know why they couldn't protect him while he uses up his remaining revivals if he's telling the truth.

Seems like a good opportunity for us to test the 8-ball. Assuming that we'd find out DocE's true affiliation when he dies/comes back.

I dunno. We have someone who had the opportunity to check his alignment and he came back not-villager. I hate to just let that pass .... it kinda has the potential to Boba Fett you in the ass later.

... or however she got the info from the mods. I wrote that and then realized that I'm not sure I'm actually following all of the 8-ball discussion, so it's not clear to me if that's how she got the answer about DocE or if it was some other mechanism.

I'll be back, but you're losing one of a limited number of resurrections on me using it on myself. But thats cool. At least i'll definitely get protected next round (and hopefully more) and can get a few more off. Yes. A few more. Which is why I am friggen concerned about the game mechanics here.

I referenced the 8 ball before anyone knew it existed. And referenced the owl before anyone knew it existed. And I got a letter from.the owl saying the 8 ball isn't reliable. And the message seems to be from an well connected source since it referenced the 8 ball by name but I nevee did to anyone else until now.

So your grand idea is to lynch someone with game changing utility (from a balance perspective) based on th3 info of an item I now know is flawed, someone else well connected warned me was flawed, and the person who accused me suspects is flawed given I'm the one who revived her and she knows she's still a villager.

Besides, you say you can revive yourself and you have many more revivals, so I don't see what the big deal is. You use one, we verify the info on the 8 ball, you're still alive with however many revivals are left.

So? We don't have anyone else we think is a wolf, so the odds are really high we're going to lynch a villager anyway. Which means it's a zero sum. Either we lose a villager (probably) or we use up one of your resurrections. The 'pro' to lynching someone else is that we might luck out and lynch a wolf. The 'pro' to lynching you is that we get to test your claim and find out whether the info about you not being a villager is accurate, both of which help us going forward.

Since the odds aren't fantastic that we'll randomly stumble on a wolf to lynch, I think it's a no-brainer to lynch you and see what info we get. My only real concern is that if you indeed are allowed to resurrect yourself (I don't really recall that happening much in past games, but....) maybe we won't get info on your villager status.

By my count, you're claiming to have started the game with at least 4 rezzes?

I know that every time I don't I regret it, and it's also clearly evident that DocE is suspicious, which is literally always the case but now moreso than most. He also claims to have cleared everyone in my group, which seemed odd, given that I know everything and seers tend to not also be able to revive, nor to seer more than one person at a time. This just seems so obvious, but then again, I wouldn't expect most of you to pick up on that, because you don't know as much as me. And that you are all most likely missing my entirely obvious posting restriction, because knowing things is my business, not yours.

I said to you guys very clearly in PM that I wasnt a seer and that my ability to clear everyone was due to taking advantage of a lucky circumstance. AKA, the 8 ball. I wanted to be so clear, i sent a second pm to further clarify that point. but yea, go ahead and say it seems odd because seers blah blah blah.

I know that was one hell of a burn, and that, if DocE believed the 8 ball to be untrustworthy, he would not have openly stated he had cleared our group immediately after using it with no other information. I mean, it's obvious.

Everything has a cost. reviving myself is worth it to revive more people, but the cost becomes prohibitive eventually. Id rather hit that point not having to waste one to prove myself. Its going to say DocE is the DOCTOR. It will almost certainly be green. If its not green, then whatever color I am is villager and we've done friggen awesome killing some third party group. It will not be red. and whatever color I am will not be chaos/third party. Then I will come back, no worse for the wear except for the costs that I know (and arent worth sharing because I actually want to succeed at helping the villagers not expose weaknesses).

exactly why I said I was really bummed to hear it doesnt work to cyndia. Not because it implicated me, but because it throws itno question everyone in my group being cleared. Exactly why I said thank you for the hedwig to the person who sent me the owl with that useful info that it isnt reliable. When I had it I was hoping beyond hope it worked well. When it showed me as not villager its 100% certain its not reliable then, and corrolates with the message I got.

Actually, it wasn't meant as a burn... it was just a genuine question. I'm not quite sure I'm following all the 8-ball stuff (actually, I'm pretty sure I'm not).
 
While some of DocE's arguments are making me second guess myself, I still can't get around the fact that I never created the owl! I double checked my messages to make sure, and I never received confirmation of it being made from kaydubs because I was lynched. I don't understand his hedwig comment, but unless there was a mixup with kaydubs, I just don't see how that message happened.

Anyways.. I've decided I'm sticking to my DocE lynch. At the very least it tells me if my items are untrustworthy, which I am dying to know.

Just to clarify - I created a 'magic eight ball' which is supposed to allow the player to ask the mods a 'yes or no' question, including about affiliation.

I'm actually a little suspicious that the owl info wasn't reliable. Doesn't mean the 8-ball is or isn't, though.

FWIW, I'm sticking with it too. There's too much smoke - and there's actual real evidence on top of it - not to. DocE is too proficient at hand-waving for me to just ignore real evidence because he spins a good tale. Especially knowing he can bring himself back ... ok, we lose one of his rezzes if he's telling the truth. That seems a small price to pay to me for finding out if he's being truthful.

Scratch that. Make that "mostly truthful". He's never 100% truthful: villager, wolf, or any other role.

the owl info is just a message. I posted it. Says the 8 ball isnt reliable and congratulated me on reviving cyndia (who I now am being lynched over. Never let a good deed go unpunished)

I understand that. I'm just dubious that the message from the owl is (necessarily) accurate.
 
I'm glad we've got more info than just random feels, but this is all confusing to follow. If cyndia made the 8-ball n1, doce had it n2, and cyndia had it n3 how would someone else know if it's faulty yet? Did I miscount the nights we've had, I thought last night was n3? Could the people who are playing but not playing (the short list for busy people) have omnipotent type roles and be responsible for it? That's all I can come up with right this minute that seems plausible. This whole situation stinks though.

Apparently the owl does exist (this was discussed bc Cyndia thought it had not been created). I'm hazy on what the owl actually does, hence my question.
DocE claims to have lots of rezzes, claims to have used one on Cyndia, says he can rez himself.

Pretty much. also I had the 8 ball earlier and used it to clear my whole team. The owl message referenced that fact and referenced my resurrection, which makes me think it came from one of our omnipotent players Since the person who'd know both of those things is dead, rest of the team only had vague references to those things (which I thought were written vaguely on pirplse but are damn conclusive in the light of me opening up and explaining my comments, but apparently they disagree)
