Hello,

I really don't know if I came to the right place for this, but I will try.

For a study project I am looking on how to use an alternative for xylene for tissue clearing and staining on our histology lab.

There are tons of substitutes out there, but I was wondering if someone can tell me the difference between
  • Aliphatic hydorcarbons
  • Limonene based agents
What is the difference and what are the advantages of both compared to xylene.

I hope someone can help me find some information on this subject.
