I don't subscribe to 'inshallah'. If it's not God's will for me to be a dentist, then I'm switching religions. I will be a dentist. But inshallah to everyone else - I hope you all find happiness in whatever that may be.

So you created an account on SDN (or another one cause you were afraid of using your original account) to post this and your previous comment? Unlike you, I am not concerned about the 0.8% of muslims living in the U.S. in taking over the country. However, it deeply worries me that people with the same level of intelligence and maturity as you will prevail in the demise of this country.
As far as I'm aware, there is nothing in SDN's TOS which says users of a common religion are not allowed to create a thread and bitch about the dental school application process while including traditional sayings or comments regarding their religion or its associated "holidays".
Just take it easy everyone, it's not like the Muslims here have erected a virtual masjid and are performing salat for ****s and giggles. 🙄 Besides, if you are bothered by a thread with Islamic material, why bother reading it, just move on to threads that matter to you.

Yeah, because islam never calls itself the religion of peace and tolerance, and then contraditcts itself. If I ever want to make light of it, I have to include all other religions that do the same otherwise I am automatically an islamaphobe.......................................

Let's not generalize an entire group based on individuals, especially if we are pursuing a profession in health care. I'd like to think a person in charge of my health can at least meet that level of professionalism.

No one referred to you as an islamaphobe, but your post do indicate your obvious dislike for the religion. If you ever took out the time to research the religion that you seem to be bashing, you would soon realize that its adherents come from a wide variety of countries, backgrounds, cultures, traditions, and political leanings. Of this, certain groups, which are driven by political, economic, or fundamentalist doctrines, have hijacked general discourse. It would be ignorant to say that blood had not been shed in the name of Islam. However, as seen through history and the recent events in Norway, Islam does not have a monopoly on terrorism or violence. To try to label a religion, which has followers that make up a quarter of the world's population, based on the actions of a few is not fair.
Try to learn more about others before making ridiculous and asinine comments, which just reflects on your level of intelligence and your attitude towards people who are different than you. Based on your diversity comments, I think another community, such as stormfront, probably suits your beliefs and viewpoints. I do not get offended on behalf of minorities. However, I do hold the view that EVERYONE deserves fair and equal treatment. I don't get your Texas comment, as this state, despite what many people think, is actually full of nice, tolerant, and caring individuals.

I agree with everything. No disrespect, but tolerance is vastly different from acceptance. We need to be a society that accepts, not tolerates..
fyi, we don't close threads dedicated to users of a certain religion or ethnicity. Usually the only reason we have to close threads of this nature is because of people who are outside of that particular circle who make posts complaining about threads like this, which usually leads to an argument in which the religion or ethnicity gets bashed by the "outsiders."

Its really sad to see that some of the people on this thread are trying to be dentists. I hope they will be able to put aside their prejudices when treating their patients...

I believe Penny Arcade called this the "internet d***wad" phenomenon.
I am a Muslim too and i kinda feel the same way. I mean there are 1.5 Billion of us out there, and at times some of us get a little too excited and say stuff we are NOT supposed to say. people need to just keep calm and carry on. Keep your beliefs and God in your heart and your cubical known as your house, nobody needs me to tell people how to live or act.
