Yale website updated?

So I have been complete at Yale since a week before the deadline (I had all letters of reccomendation FedEx'd with tracking #'s and my app fee sent overnight with tracking number so I know they got everything). However, the website still shows that NOTHING has been received. Is Yale just painfully slow, or should I call them and ask what's up even though it blatantly says on the website that status can only be checked via their webpage? Argh it is so annoying.

I sent my check two months ago, and their status page still hasn't updated. I called and they told me they couldn't check anything over the phone. They said that if they needed anything they would contact me. They really need to get their act together. They should just not have a status page if they aren't going to use it.

It took forever to complete my application. It was complete after about 8 weeks on Oct. 18th. I was invited on the 19th for an interview. I don't think what the website says has any significance. They are simply slow in reflecting what they've received and what stage your application is in. I might have been "in review" for a while before my status changed on the website. It certainly couldn't have taken only one day to receive an invite after being complete.

Have any of you ever called Yale to see what's up? I know the website explicitly says not to call or email, but I've been complete since Sept. 8 and NADA.

I'd really like to try to combine Yale with some of my other east coast interviews if at all possible...

Maybe it's been long enough that it's just a resounding "no" and I didn't get the hint? I've seen so many people complete after me getting interviews...

hey, at least we know the office is still functioning... i got this e-mail today:

Dear Yale School of Medicine Applicant:

Congratulations! Our Medical School Admissions Committee has completed
its initial evaluation of your application, and you have been selected
to come to the School for interviews. We look forward to meeting you
and helping you learn more about the Yale University School of Medicine.

I haven't heard anything yet, either, although I completed pretty damn close to deadline. I'm not really expecting them to get their act together for a while.
