Finally! I got 2 inteviews!!!!!!!!!!

Stony and UMDNJ!!!!!

Thank you everyone here for your help and support I dont think it would have been possible without you!

Now a quick question. My NJ interview is all the way at the middle of January 🙁 Do you guys know if they fill up their class by then? Will I be interviewing for a waitlist or there are still plenty of seats?

What about Stony? Mid december? Just curious about my chances. Thanks again everyone. Who ever thought that Mondays could be so good?
 
Did you just find out both of them today? if so, today is def ur lucky day dude! go get wasted as soon as possible

hmm... don't really know about UMDNJ, but considering SB's small class size it might be a waitlist interview... either way, just rock the interview and don't sweat it!

when did you send out your AADSAS?
 
Congrats! Stony is one of my favs. In terms of your chance of getting accepted for an interview in mid-january, go to predents.com and go to UMDNJ. Put your cursor over the applicants from the previous cycle who have had an interview after jan and if any of them have been accepted. This will give you an idea whether you still have a fair chance of getting accepted.

Otherwise, call the UMDNJ directly
 
sorry to say but with stony brook its definitely gonna be tough.. its such a small class and almost no one turns down an acceptance..
I know 2 people who interviewed there in early December last cycle and both are in the application process again this year.. they will wait list you, but with a class size of 35 it may as well be a rejection..

either way.. go prepared.. do your best and we'll all keep our fingers crossed! I havent received word from STony brook but would love to .. i have lost all hope for that school but im not complaining.. i do have interviews to 2 of my top choices.. still if stony brook accepted me it would make for a hard decision Good Luck!:luck:
 
I don't know about Stony Brook, but I wouldn't lose hope on UMDNJ just yet! From my visit I got the impression that they are worried about losing a significant number of their admitted students - particularly those with higher stats - to Stony Brook, Columbia, and other good schools in the region, so I wouldn't be surprised if they admit more students after Dec 1 to make up for the ones they lose. Of course, I'm no adcom, this is just one person's opinion. Just be sure to emphasize how much you want to be at UMDNJ 😉 Good luck!!!

Hey JohnDoe, Congrats man, I told you you would do it? I'm soo happy for ya, KUDOS to ya. I'm going to celebrate on your behalf, because I feel this one with you. I hate to say it, but 4thquarterdreams does have a point, but we can't give up right? I am one of those people he's talking about who interviewed earlier this year & was waitlisted. Stony made me feel like I was this big star & I thought was in, but boy was I wrong. They're very competitive this year, since its for about 39 seats. We're all in this struggle together & hopefully we'll all get in, I'm keeping my head up & so you guys. Great job again JohnDoeDDS.

Im a bit dissapointed with the timing though but oh well. Hopefully it's not too late.
