Does this count as clinical experience?

I am going for an interview to work at a Women and Children shelter. I am excited about this and am also curious to see if it counts as clinical experience. It would be dealing with psychiatric issues.

I already have experience, but I was just wondering if this would also fall under clinical experience even though it isn't in a traditional clinical setting.
Thank you.

I would say no, just write it under volunteering and describe the psychiatric aspects. By the way, do you mean psychological? I think (and I might be wrong) that emotional trauma isn't necessarily psychiatric.

Would I write it under volunteering if this is a paid position?
It's not just emotional trauma. It's not a typical shelter as it does deal with psychiatric issues. It's for families suffering from psychiatric issues that are homeless and need support in being rehabilitated.

If you are getting paid, then no it is not volunteering.
The clinical vs. non-clinical label depends on what you will be doing. What are your duties going to be?
