I'm married with 2 kids and I've been looking at places to live in Malden, Everett, Medford, Winthrop, Chelsea, and Lynn. I've mostly just been looking on the Craigslist for Boston. Do you guys have any other suggestions for towns to live in? What resources did you guys use to find housing? Did you end up having to fly out and check out places or did you just move in based on some picture in an ad? Also, when did you decide to move out there? I have a really cheap apartment right now and I want to keep my family here as long as I can until the semester starts. I need to save money for the move and stuff.
Any comments or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Besides the places you listed, I'd also include Wellington and Sullivan Square in your search (these are the names of the T stops that are close to these areas). I think its most convenient to look for a place thats off the orange line on the T if you are going to be using the T. This will take you straight to NEMC without having to change lines. I used craigslist to find my place but at that time i was already a student here so i could look around and actually see the apts. I don't know if you can trust pictures for this sort of thing.
