That'S my understanding from the new rule.
So ANYBODY - can do pain if they want.
As a former pain clinic owner - I saw this happening. That's the reason that I closed it.
Anybody can write hydrocodone or MS and so on.
As we know - most of the pain clinic patients are there BC - THEY NEED DRUGS!!!
Give them!
They voted for ;)

depends what you mean. Our pain physicians have to be fellowship trained to receive reimbursement from BC/BS for their procedures. Either that or grandfathered in from prior to that rule going in place. And the ones that are grandfathered in have a requirement for pain specific CME that must be completed each year.
