Mine was a test in one of my first college classes. It was on a scan-tron and I got the order mixed up. Luckily I had a cool professor that let me take it again. Still, pretty big fail.

How bout you? Don't lie either, we all have a couple epic fails on our way to greatness.

Really? A test was your biggest fail? That's not bad...

Mine is probably slipping on black ice and managing to break my leg in 4 places and dislocate my ankle...

Effing thing put me on crutches for 8 months.

Well....At least school related. I think if I shared all my fails this thread would be pretty long. It does not have to be one's biggest fail, just a fail.

Mine? D, C, C for my calculus 1,2,3 grades my first 3 semesters. 15 credits of ~1.8 GPA. Recovering from this has proven troublesome.

In between some health issues I lacked maturity and was pretty irresponsible in many aspects of my life. I guess I did learn from my mistakes, but damn, what a way to learn and still recovering from bad grades!! F*** Damn it!:diebanana::beat:

Oh well, the past is gone, now I just have the present, and will do my best now!

what's a "fail"?

hahaha.... actually mine would be ap us history... hated the subject, on my ap exam i ended up writing an essay about why my teacher was an ass and i deserve to get credit for the exam even though i disregarded the entire free-response section...

that was a stress free day though because i simply didn't care for the subject (on and i got a D in the class)

I didn't realize English classes gave scan-tron tests.

Scholastically: A 36% on a General Chemistry exam. This was 2 pts. higher than the class average.

worst.class.ever.

Who said anything about English?

EDIT: I realize that you are probably being an English Nazi in some way. Keep up the good work. Grammatical errors on the internet should be a top priority for everyone. (sarcasm reiteration goes here).

He was making a snide remark about your typographical error with the word "lye," ignore him, lol.

Nice quotation from His Airness, Michael Jordan:

I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot... and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Whoa. Hostile

Whoa. Hostile

Really? I think it is more hostile to post comments about people's minor spelling mistakes.

EDIT: By the way, spelling fail on me in my own fail thread.

first day of class sat next to this girl and started talking about how i would blow off this class and it was an easy core no one cared about, etc. etc.

at the very end of the class she got up, and went to the front as the teacher introduced her as the main TA grading everything

I think it is pretentious. But that is just me.

Also, one post to make the same point should suffice.

Dude. That is horrible. What did you do?

Open notes gen chem test. I did terribly WITH MY NOTES OPEN IN FRONT OF ME because I panicked for reasons I still can't explain and the result was my ability to think clearly was somewhat compromised. Fortunately everyone did badly so we got to retake it for partial credit. Unfortunately, the professor assumed everyone did badly because we didn't take an open notes test seriously. I did. I just lost my nerves the day of the test.

As to general life fails, making an entire freshman seminar class for which I was the tutor afraid of me (or so one student confided to a mutual friend) when I literally hadn't done anything except audit the class once a week, give a presentation on essay writing, and tell them to come to me if they needed any help with their work...

In chem lab today, the lit value for the MP of my end product was 65 oC. My obtained MP? 175 - 201.

...

What the hell did I make? -_-

Umm...I skipped my analytical chem class for so long that I accidentally skipped a test...that was a pretty big blow to my grades in that course 😆
