I'm just curious how you guys would diagnose this. I won't be putting any weight on this thread whatsoever, and have already scheduled an appointment with a doc here, so don't be concerned about that aspect of things.
About two weeks ago, I woke up to my left testicle being huge (as in, the size of a large orange). It wasn't the testicle itself, but the supporting soft tissue that seemed very swollen. It wasn't painful, but ached a little bit. I decided not to go in right away, but to definately watch it and go in at the first sign of anything else weird. It went back to normal size, so I let it go and didn't put much extra thought into it. Today, I woke up and I just ached. It felt like somebody had just booted me in the nuts. I felt around a little bit, and I found a weird lump near the other testicle. It wasn't directly on it, but slightly above it on the vasculature. It was hard and odd-shaped. I scheduled an apt. today for the beginning of next week.
Other than this, I'm pretty healthy. I'm 22 yrs old, 6'2, and weigh about 170lbs. I'm fairly athletic and I eat well (lots of veggies, fruit, fish, etc). I've had no other significant medical problems. The only other thing I've noticed odd is that once in a while I'll get shortness of breath, to where it feels like I just can't take a deep breath. It comes and goes in phases, where I'll be absolutely normal for a month or so, and then for about a week to two I won't be able to take deep breaths again. This has been going on for 6-8 months. I've never been diagnosed with asthma, though there is a history of it in my mother's side. The only allergies I have are to cats and horses, and these are both very mild. Your thoughts?
