a patient with a zinc oxide-eugenol temporary filling in a tooth 47,
occlusal only, wants a composite. how best can i clean the cavity do to make sure there are no ZOE rests, possibly leading to discoloration/compromised curing?

Here's a trick I picked up from a dentist I used to shadow: He used a cavitron to clean out any residual temporary filling material. It seems to work pretty well.
