According to ACEP News: "The fill rate for EM postions dipped slighlty for this year's residency match, but the number of available slots also increased, leaving the specialty with 54 more first-year residents this year than last year. This year, 97.4% of the specialty's 1,251 available slots were filled, three-quarters of them by US medical graduates. Last year, 98% of the specialty's 1,188 slots were filled. U.S. graduates filled 80% of those slots."
