3 year HPSP

Hello,

I was an alternate for the 4 year HPSP, and fortunately was (automatically) selected for the 3 year HPSP. I will be getting commissioned sometime in November or December, so I have a question about pay. Will I draw the stipend at the beginning of the calendar year, or will that come when D2 year starts and they begin paying for everything? Just wondering because this will definitely affect how much loan money I take out next semester. I have been getting some mixed answers, so just thought I'd see what you guys had to say. Thanks!

I know for me (4-year HPSP), I started getting stipend income the first day of my first year of school. So I would imagine you'd start getting stipend the first day of your 2nd year.
