It's gone up
As an attestation, we've had 10% increases in pativent volume last several months here, and overage bonuses have increased as there is more net money being generated. There was been raises in overall pay of most nearby EM facilities as I do get offers regularly. I think $10K increase compensation per year is definitely within the ballpark.
 
300K (IC without benefits) for a full time ED docs seems light. Working 35 hrs a week would be about 168/hr.

Am I missing something? Are docs around the country really making less than 170/hr IC?

I guess if you include academics, part timers, etc then it could be 300k/yr. But if you are working in community (which is most of us) and full time, then your pay should be above 300k. If not, someone is making alot of money off from you.

Most hospitals I do locums with can not adequately staff the ED with $300/hr. They can't get doctors to work for that rate.
