How Physician Friendly is North Carolina?

I am a second year resident scouting out potential places to practice. I am curious what the medical climate is like in North Carolina. All I have been able to glean so far is that it rates low in terms of malpractice insurance, but am curious what other Family Physicians think of working in North Carolina, and how it compares to to other states in the area.
