iPad 9.7 in and Macbook Pro 2015 vs Surface Pro 6?

Hey guys, I was thinking of switching up my current set-up so that I'd be able to use something that can write/draw. I currently own a Macbook Pro 2015 that's in fairly good condition.

I'm debating between two options:

1) Buy iPad 9.7 in ($350) + keyboard ($40) + pen ($125) as my tablet for in class use and use the Macbook Pro 2015 as my main computer

2) Sell Macbook Pro 2015 for ~$1200 and buy a Surface Pro 6 (~$1500)

Note: Everything is in CAD

Okay first off idk how much CAD~USD is but there’s a snowflake chance in hell you get $1200 for a 2015 MacBook

u could hit up the used market and find an ipad 2018 or ipad pro w/ pencil (i recently acquired a 10.5 pro for ~400usd)

also i hear it can be useful to have two screens in school when you take notes on your tablet whilst having your laptop on the side
