Latest MCAT Test Date

When is the latest date to take the MCAT and still have the scores ready to submit during the first AMCAS cycle (July)? How long does it typically take to receive scores?

It takes ~1 month to receive scores from your test date.

That's what I've heard, but I've also been told to not take it any later than April, so I'm a bit confused.

Well I think the consensus is that you should submit your application as early as possible. April exams allow you to get your scores back in may and submit on June 1st. But I think July submission is reasonable still, you don't want to push it later than that I think. Others can share there opinion on this as well.

Oh, is June the recommended AMCAS submission date, rather than July? When is the first wave of applications processed?
