No, not usually. There are 15 "PGY 2-4" programs (listed here: http://www.saem.org/saemdnn/Home/Vi...encyCatalog/24Programs/tabid/276/Default.aspx) in the country where you would have to, and DOs may have to depending on the state.

But it is only 3 total yrs.
