Can anyone comment on the cardiology programs at Baylor College of Medicine, UT Medical School at Houston, and The Methodist Hospital?
What have you heard about them? Which one is the best?

Texas Heart Institute (Baylor College of medicine - St Luke's Episcopal Hospital) >>> Baylor College of Medicine > UT Houston> Methodist

Dates are:
9/23, 10/6, 10/9, 10/16, 10/21

I got this email from UNM: What does this mean? Rejection? Waitlisted?

Thank you for your interest in our cardiology fellowship program. We have five positions available for next July's incoming class. We have conducted our review of the more than three hundred applicants and have invited approximately thirty for interviews. As I âm sure you can understand it is extremely difficult to narrow down the field of applicants to a manageable number to interview. You are among a great many qualified and strong applicants. While I cannot offer you an interview at this time, your qualifications and letters are impressive none-the-less. Over the course of the next few weeks, should any interview spots become available I will contact you in the hope that you may still be interested and able to interview.

I got the same exact email....I think it's just a nice way to send a rejection ...unless someone else got a differently worded rejection email....

I agree, I thought the same.....Just curious.....

I got a different rejection email from UNM. "your qualifications and letters are impressive none-the-less. Over the course of the next few weeks, should any interview spots become available I will contact you in the hope that you may still be interested and able to interview" are different. Best of luck!

Seems like the same email to me? I didn't see anything different? Anyways this goes in history as the most polite rejection!

Though I got rejection email yesterday @ 6PM.

@baletesfa - You are the best IMG applicant on the forum so far. Incredible interviews. Please shed some light on your awesome credentials.
@Gimmecardiology - thanks, you have good interviews as well. I don't have many IVs either; keep fingers crossed. Credentials - IMG, academic residency program, USMLE - 256, 249, 234, a lot of research (PhD).
@matchpass - you must have very strong credentials.

If you haven't heard from the programs that have already sent out invites, does that mean they just didn't even care to send out rejection letters or should you still hope?

It goes either way. Some i have noted send interviews in rounds, some wait for a couple of weeks before sending rejections, some simply ignore. We wait and see.

Anyone heard back from University of Maryland on dates of interview?

I was wondering the exact same thing. Emailed Friday and haven't heard back and was getting worried they somehow didn't get my email. I feel better knowing other people have not either though...

Invitation Westchester NYMC 8/20

Quick question. If there are 4 interview dates: 1 in early September, 1 in late September, 2 in october. Is it wise to pick the first interview date or is it wise to pick up the last one? My concern is will the program forget us by the time we go to match if we interviewed on the first day or will they remember better if we interview on the last day? Please let me know your thoughts

My understanding is that programs make a rank order list for each interview date. In the end they pool that list and make a final rank order list. It should not matter at all what dates you are interviewing. I think you should choose per your preference and flexibility instead.

Best of luck!
