Hi everyone, I’ll be reapplying this cycle after an okay-ish 2023 cycle. Last time, I got 2 MD interviews and 1 DO interview. Not sure what to do about my school list this time. I’d love to stay in New England, but I’m open to suggestions

1. cGPA/sGPA: 3.8
2. 514 (129/127/130/128)
3. CT resident
4. Asian
5. Undergrad in CT
6. Clinical volunteering/paid clinical: Volunteer at hospital and hospice volunteer (300+ hours) and work in cardiology unit as technician (1000+)
7. Research experience: 3 years during undergrad, 1 book chapter, still working with lab to publish review manuscript
8. Shadowing experience: 100+ across 4 specialties
9. Non-clinical volunteering: tutoring & mentoring for underserved kids and started local chapter at undergrad school, crisis text line (300+ hours)
10. Other extracurricular activities: multiple undergrad organizations with leadership roles, heavy on mentoring other students
11. Few School-specific awards
12. Former English language learner student, talked about this in my work/activities. Many of my activities focus on geriatric populations. I also have some experience with underserved populations

Any new non-clinical volunteering that is not teaching/tutoring? More in-person?

not really, I’m still leading the chapter. The only new thing for this cycle I’ve added is a hobby and a leadership opportunity at my job. Although last cycle, my clinical job wasn’t really strong clinical experience. This time, I’m more active with patients.

I’m going to try to find a non clinical volunteering opportunity, something that aligns with my interests in supporting the underserved. Maybe soup kitchen volunteering? Not entirely sure yet

Did you end up getting accepted to Quinnipac? It appears so from your post history!
