Recent news in healthcare/medicine?

I've heard it's common that interviewers ask students about some recent news in medicine and that they should be familiar with up-to-date topics in healthcare. Ex: progress on stem cell research, cancer, new discoveries, etc

Is there any reliable website that provides someone who does not follow recent news in medicine a way to get up to speed? A google search only gives me spam slideshows and non-medicine biological news.
