research month length in residency

Does anyone know which programs have months dedicated to research, and for how long? And about what percentage of programs have research time for their residents? I thought this would be a good resource for interview knowledge.

Virtually every program offers some research months. They range from 3 months (scattered throughout your residency) to 12 contiguous months. Holman Pathway is also an option at a few programs.

When you interview, research months will be brought up.

Thanks. Gfunk, or anyone else, have any idea about what percentage of programs offer 12 mos, 6 mos, or 4 mos or less? Do I have much chance of getting into research or an academic position if I get into a program with less than six months time?
