Hi Guys,

I wanted to know my chances for some of these schools. I just recently bought MSAR and my P/S subscore has me freaked out because I would be in the 10th percentile or less.

GPA: 3.72
SGPA: 3.65

Mid-high UC school

MCAT: 514 (131, 127, 129, 127)

Asian: Non-disadvantaged

ECS:

Health Education Clinic: 1000 hrs, was a Director and founded a program

Research: 1000 hours, 2 pubs, 1 poster

Clinical: 200 hrs shadowing, 300 hours of scribe work, 100 hrs hospital volunteer

Non-Clinical: 300 hours

President of Club

2-3 awards, Deans list multiple times, PBK, department award, strong letters

School List: SUNY Downstate (dream), UCR, UCLA, UCD, UCSF, Mt. Sinai, GW, Tufts, Temple, Drexel, Rush, Tulane, Emory, CUSM, Kaiser, UCI, FIU.

Do you think my P/S will hold me back, specifically for mid-tiers like Suny Downstate?
Any other input?

Thanks for all your help!

SUNY Downstate matriculated only 21 non residents last year, less than 1% of non residents who applied. Since you are a CA resident you should apply to many more schools and I suggest adding these:
Vermont
Quinnipiac
New York Medical College
Hofstra
Einstein
Albany
Seton Hall
Jefferson
Georgetown
Virginia Commonwealth
NOVA MD
TCU-UNT
Creighton
St. Louis
Loyola
Medical College Wisconsin
Western Michigan
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
