You should get the official invite via snail mail according to the admissions office. I am still waiting to get out of the "Application in Process" stage....😳

Thanks - I went ahead and called and they said I was complete.

The lady I talked to was very cryptic - she said I was complete and that they would be in touch shortly to set something up. WTF? Does that mean they're planning on giving me an interview invite?

Ah well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
 
bumping the status page, mainly for my own personal use while i'm out of town and don't have all the status pages readily available via bookmarks!
 
has anyone gotten a response from NYU either by calling or email? i ask b/c i received an email 2 weeks ago indicating that they'd received my secondary but not my letters of rec; however, i submitted my lor by interfolio two weeks before i got that email...

is it worth calling or emailing, or will i not be able to get an answer?

and do you think maybe they're just being slow d/ling them from interfolio? b/c i still havent gotten an "all complete" email and i'm getting a little worried.

I submitted my secondary and received email confirmation on 8/22, LORs posted to VirtualEvals around 8/1, and I didn't get an email for being complete until 9/12. I think they're just slow.

complete as in all recommendations received (character recs as well)? or complete as in they received your secondary? i didn't get any email saying they received my secondary, and i mailed it a long while ago. they did cash my check though, but that was coming from a separate envelope.
 
how long did it take everyone to hear from albany that their app was complete. I sent my LORs in over 2 weeks ago, and have heard back from almost everyone, except them.
 
I don't feel like wasting a new thread.. so here's my ramble:

I sent my UVM application in on 7/31/06. My letters were uploaded via Virtual Eval even before that. Today is 9/19 and they still say they haven't received my letters. What the heck.

YOu should email them Rob, they might have your letters but think another is coming. Its been over a month, I'm sure they wouldn't mind you calling or emailing.
 
how long did it take people to be complete at yale? its been like 4-5 weeks since I sent my check in the mail/submitted online, and at least 6 weeks since my letters were sent on virtualevals...i know they say not to call, so I'm just trying to sense whether or not the USPS lost my check!

But on a more serious note, it probably takes time to upload things into the computer. Every part of this process is slow slow slow. I hope your page gets updated soon.
 
jus reallly quick, are there any schools that may offer you an interview on their website and you can only find out by checking your status or does every school send an email/mail/phone?

Yale was exceptionally slow at updating their status page after I sent in my money and letter of certification. It was eventually taken care of, though.

Good question.... I haven't heard from either, though I did only submit those like 3 weeks ago.

It seems like rush is a good 2 months behind everyone. They claim their interview season starts in october, so we'll see.

Since they do interview in-state pretty heavily, I am hoping they send invitations soon, :luck:
 
Just a question since we are on the subject....is Rush worth the wait? I don't know a lot about the school, so I thought I would ask for some opinions

From talking to previous students, visiting, and as a Chicago native---an emphatic YES! Rush is an awesome school with great facilities. The curriculum is awesome, the faculty is nice, the clinicals are great---and plus you live in the city 🙂 Rush is definitely an awesome school worth the wait! Grats on EVMS!

I would say Rush is not worth the wait...only because I really like the school and don't want anyone else to apply and take my spot 🙂 . Just kidding, of course. I've visited the school and spoke with current students and the admissions staff, and it's an excellent school. It's definitely worth the wait, especially if you've already finished the essays anyway.

Also, I've come up with a possible theory on the UIC status page. Since it is down every Tuesday and Thursday night, do you think that is when they will update your status and indicate if you have an interview? I'm getting tired of checking that page every time I sit down at my computer...
 
Anybody know the link to the Dartmouth status page that people reference in the interview invite thread? I was under the impression that all their communication was through snail mail...
