Benefit of an EM/IM Program?

hey guys....it's me again...as i go through my "quest" for EM, I was told about various combined EM/IM programs...since i don't know much about this, i am coming to you guys (once agagin) for help!!!!...it is an additional year but you get dual board certified...could you guys give some ideas as to whether this is a good program to go into or a waste of another year....if you could do it over again, would you do both...

I did a search of this forum a little while back just using the phrase "IM/EM" and found a wealth of information on your topic of interest. In addition, I think his screen name is "KGUNNER" but he's triple board certified ie IM/EM/CC and posts about his experiences on occaision. Good luck.
