Hey fellow future vets! Let's use this thread to post our acceptances! Please include whether you are in/out-of-state, interview date, when and how you were accepted. 😳
 
I was accepted to The Ohio State University as a non-resident. I was invited to interview via phone call, had my interview on 12/4, noticed that my status was "decided" on 12/14 (this was the first time I ever checked it) and called the office on 12/17. One of the admissions officers had to go find my file and told me that I've been accepted and that I will be receiving a letter and financial aid information soon. Yay!!!

Hey guys,

In the past we used a format for the acceptance thread something like

The Ohio State University: WildVet16 (I:12/4 A:12/17 called office OOS)

so under the school, your name, interview date, acceptance date, how you found out, and in state or OOS.

and then you copy and paste the one above you and add your name. It works really well as this thread will (hopefully!) be quite huge come March 🙂

Well, nothing is guaranteed in this process. People who aren't going through it don't understand how stressful things can get. Now it's time to see this thread grow to ridiculous proportions! Hopefully the C/O 2012 can break some sort of SDN record for vet school acceptances!

I am soooo jealous.

I like this format for acceptances, with some additional info.....
 
I like the additional info, but I agree that once the thread gets HUGE (which it certainly will) it's impossible to see everything, especially if you're scanning and looking for a particular school. Maybe we could have a more conversational thread, as well as a more traditional acceptance list?
 
Also, when adding your name to the acceptance thread, it's easiest if you put the school you were accepted to in the title box, that way when the list gets big it's easier to see where people have been accepted.

No worries, I just did not want to be forgotten... especially for something so important to me! I am so excited that I am going to be a veterinarian and I do not have to re-apply!

Oh man I almost threw up when I saw your acceptance ksgirl. Haha. I'm just a little on edge. CONGRATS!! I think mine might be a day behind because I asked them to send it to my home address instead. Did you receive yours in Manhattan or somewhere else?

I had mine sent home, but when I mail stuff home from Manhattan it normally only takes a day, so I wouldn't be worried. I would imagine they just sent them out yesterday. Oh, and so everyone knows mine came in a large envelope. Good luck!

Congrats to everyone who has already been accepted. I am nervously waiting to hear back from CSU. Out of curiosity, for those being accepted is this their first time applying? This is my first attempt at applying, I'm a non-trad with a comp. sci/programming background and have only applied to CSU. I'm thinking my chances are slim to none, but that doesn't make me any less anxious to hear back ... ha. I also went back to school to take some classes to help prepare and got my first D this semester (ouch) in Histology. I REALLY hope they don't hold it against me. I got A's and B's in my other classes.

Congrats again to those lucky acceptees and best of luck to my other fellow applicants 😉

Thank you thank you thank you everyone! In case you coulldn't tell- I am KIND OF excited. 😛 Aaand I have been wanting it to say "KSUCVM Class of 2012" under my name so bad that I dream about it! Good luck to everyone else still waiting!! Oh by the way after I got my acceptance my mom wouldn't let me drive back to Manhattan for 2 hours besause my blood pressure was so high! She got 167/132 at one point right after the mail truck pulled on to my street. lol.

Congratulations - I am sooo excited for everyone getting accepted. That is too funny about your BP. I think I'd be in the same boat in the same situation - what a great way to start out the New Year! Congrats!
 
Hi tmbrwlfm, I hope you get an offer from CSU! This was my first time applying and I am OOS. I was offered a position in the MSPH/DVM class of 2013, so I'm not sure if the reviewal process differed at all for that particular program. Also, I didn't think I had a shot at getting in there b/c my GPA isn't exceptional. You never know what they are looking for! Best of luck!!

I carried around my acceptance letter for like a week showing everyone. It was best early Christmas present ever!

does anyone know how many students OSU has offered admittance so far? OOS to be more precise....
